Sansa's Letter by cabepfir Sansa's Letter by cabepfir
Regent queen Cersei Lannister and the Coucil graciously invite Sansa Stark to write a letter to Winterfell ;)
All are in mourning clothes for the death of King Robert.

From left to right, Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish is lost in blissful thinking of how much Sansa resembles her mother, Grand Maester Pycelle disapproves leaving a traitor's daughter alive and well, Cersei is all sweet and honey, and Varys the Spider... who knows what Varys is really thinking?

Cersei is too beautiful and too vile. I fear that if I was a man, I'd be in love with someone like Cersei :P

ASoFaI (c) George RR Martin

ps. Petyr is playing with the famous dagger.

NOTE: I am aware that Sansa's hair should be auburn. The black hair depicted here came from a mistranslation. Italian translation of ASOIAF stated, at the beginning, that Tully's hair were black, so I imagined Sansa with black hair at the beginning.

E' meraviglioso! Complimenti! (e che quelli della traduzione italiana siano dannati per aver tradotto male. Avevano un solo compito, santo cielo)

This is beautiful!! Seriously, everyone looks so perfect. (Petyr's expression is hilarious)...I love the mourning clothes you gave everyone - Cersei's just like it is in the books, and it's so strange to see Varys dressed in such dark colourswhen it's not a disguise ^^ Even the deer tapestries and the lion head in the background! And Sansa is beautiful :3 I too was going to ask about her dark hair, but I saw you answer the same question in the comments. That explains it! Is it true that the Italian translation also translated the Greyjoys' words "we do not sow" to mean "we don't know how to sew"? x)
Anyway I love your painting style~ Do you sketch your pictures first? I don't see any pencil lines. I wouldn't be able to paint without lines :P

Thank you! Yes, there are pencils lines underneath - I always paint with lineart too! It's just been covered by the other colors.

I really hope that Sansa experiences major development later on, because up to this point she's so empty headed and selfish it makes me want to jump in the story and slap some sense into her!

I loved this, but I was at first confused as to why Arya was in the picture.... Sansa's the red head with blue eyes. Nonetheless, awesomeness.

I'm well aware of that, now; it all came from a mistranslation. Italian translation of ASOIAF stated, at the beginning, that Tully's hair were black, so I imagined Sansa with black hair at the beginning.

Sorry, should have read through the comments before posting my own. Apart from that minor detail, I loved it- I was just looking for a girl who could be Sansa, and was confused at the lack or red. Silly translators, messing up fanarts.... :D
