Artist's Comments

Front cover for my long-announced comic about Richard III, "Il cinghiale" (the boar, with reference to Richard's emblem).

I'm going to present the Boar project in Lucca Comics & Games next weekend.
More infos in my current journal. Stay tuned.

Waiting for a proper publication, I put The Boar on lulu to get it spread in the meantime. You can download it in pdf clicking here [link] at 3,50 euros (of which, some 2 go to me), or you can have a copy printed at 13,50 euros (of which I get some 3 euros). PLEASE NOTE that the comic is in Italian at the moment and hand-lettered by me (as you can see in some samples I uploaded on dA).
For the future I hope to be able to translate it, if I have the time and patience to do that.

Interesting, here in Catalonia there's a similar word, senglar for cinghiale.

I'm not convinced with the cover, seem quite drab to me, but hope it'll work!

well the inside too is quite gloomy :D The story really has a tragic quality, and it's very introspective, so I wanted to keep this tone in the cover.
Anyway, we'll see! :)

In French the word is "sanglier", so pretty much simitar to Catalan ;)

Anyway, due to the small time left before the Lucca Comics convention, I had to print it in a rush and the printer office did me a lamentable job :P In any case, this is not the last word, since I plan to distribute it through Lulu or something like that. And there is the possibility that I'll translate it, we'll see if I have the patience to do that! I'll keep you informed :)

There is a small possibility that I'll translate it. After all, the main public that could be interested in a story of Richard III is the anglophone one. :P
